Program Philosophy

Willow Tree Child Care welcomes students of any race, religion, and nationality.  The goal of Willow Tree is to provide a safe and nurturing environment that allows young children to develop physically, social/emotionally, and cognitively. Our program recognizes the importance of building a strong parent and teacher partnership.  As a team, we play a role to model positive behavior as we guide the children to grow and to develop in a comfortable environment.  We work hard to hire teachers that are passionate, educated, and creative.  Willow Tree teachers work hard to create lesson plans that implement age-appropriate milestones along with a spice of an exciting themes to catch the children’s attention.  Children are meant to play, and it is the adult’s job to make learning fun.

We encourage parents to be involved with their child’s learning by reading the weekly newsletters and exploring the beautiful displays of the children’s work that the teachers showcase.  Willow Tree wants the school to be a comfortable learning environment not only for the child but for parents too.  Parents, we are here to be your resource when you have a question about your child’s development, or if you just need a pair of listening ears.  Raising a child isn’t easy, and the Willow Tree teaching staff and families are your support team.

Program Vision

“It takes a whole village to raise a child.”

Our program is here not to only serve children alone, but the family as a whole. We understand that raising a child is a very delicate process.  Every child grows and develops differently, and our program is here to encourage that being different is not a bad thing.  We believe in building a strong partnership between the parents and teachers, so when a child is going through a time of challenges or celebrations, the child will be given a consistent support from school as they would at home.

Everyone involved with Willow Tree is considered as family, and to our best ability, every teacher in the center will work together to make sure that the child and family will learn in a safe and loving environment.  We hope to work with the Bucktown/Logan Square community to use any resources they can provide to further the learning of the children in our program.
