The infant program follows the age appropriate milestones and checklist but we will not be doing lesson plans with them.  Their day will consist of building structure and routine, simple projects and activities, and meeting their milestones. Our infant program promotes a lot of floor play and variety of activities to promote tummy time.  Even in our infant program, we love to get messy and dive into projects and sensory bins. We are fortunate to have 3 full time staff for our class of 7 infants. This gives us time to focus on the child individually and meet their needs right away.

Welcome to Willow Tree Toddler One’s! We are delighted to get to know you and your child. This class focuses on gross and fine motor skills as well as comprehension of words and beginning to use their words properly. Our main focus is for your child to be happy and healthy in a great learning environment to prepare them for the next stages in life. The toddler one room is a theme based classroom. Every two weeks, we put focus on a particular theme. Throughout the week, your child will participate in our sensory bins and have many art projects pertaining to the theme of the week. We challenge our toddlers to build self-help skills like feeding themselves, putting their dirty dishes in the wash bin, taking off their shoes, and start to put on their own jackets.

As your child takes this next big step in their early childhood they, will be encountering many new challenges.  We, teachers, will do our best to guide your child in achieving these new and exciting milestones.  We will begin building problem-solving skills by continuing to teach them common phrases to help communicate their needs.   Many children will discover their growing abilities when they are exposed to new learning centers, such as science discovery and more themed projects.  We encourage independence and provide opportunities for our two’s and three’s to enhance their development process. As the children work on gaining independence, they need firm and consistent boundaries, as well as encouragement and support. We have a busy year ahead of us and we look forward to building a close partnership with you in the process.

Welcome to Willow Tree preschool! In this class, we will focus on self-help skills, social-emotional maturation, fine and gross- motor development, letter and number recognition,  and cognitive skills.  Our class is theme based, which means every two weeks we will concentrate on one particular theme, and discuss different topics pertaining to the theme each day. Throughout the week, we will integrate most activities to relate to the current theme.  Each week we will focus on one letter of the alphabet. We will go over what it sounds like, what it looks like, words that start with that letter, and practice tracing/writing each letter. Once we go through the whole alphabet, we will shift our focus on numbers 1-10. Meanwhile, each child will get individual help with letters and numbers they are having difficulty with.
